Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains, in plain language, what ChromaShed does and does not do with your information, the standards every clip in our library is held to, and how we keep this website fast, free and family-friendly. We wrote it to be read — not skimmed past — because respecting visitors is the whole point.

01About ChromaShed

ChromaShed (chromashed.pages.dev) is a free, independent library of green screen (chroma-key) video clips built for editors, streamers, marketers and everyday creators. Every clip is offered as a direct MP4 or MOV download in vertical (9:16), square (1:1) and widescreen (16:9) formats, ready to drop onto a timeline in Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut or any other editor.

The site is intentionally simple: there is no user account system, there is no sign-up wall, there is no paywall, and there is nothing you have to tell us about yourself in order to download a clip. This document describes how the website operates, the content principles we enforce across the library, and the very small technical footprint the site leaves when you visit it.

References to “ChromaShed”, “we”, “us” and “this site” mean the operator of chromashed.pages.dev. References to “you” mean the visitor or downloader using the site.

02Our Content Standards

We hold every clip in the ChromaShed library to a strict, family-friendly standard. This is not a marketing claim — it is a publishing rule that shapes what we accept into the library in the first place.

In short: the whole library is safe for a general audience.

You can browse, search and download from ChromaShed from a school laptop, a work computer or a phone at the kitchen table without stumbling into something you would rather not have seen.

We respect intellectual property, and we keep the library clean by design. ChromaShed publishes original chroma-key footage — recordings produced for this library — and we do not knowingly publish material that belongs to someone else who has not licensed it. To the best of our knowledge and good-faith belief, every clip available on this site is free of third-party copyright conflicts.

What you can do with the clips:

Two simple limits apply, both aimed at keeping the library free for everyone: you may not resell or redistribute the clips as your own clip pack or stock-footage product, and you may not present the raw files as content you filmed yourself. If you believe any clip on this site infringes a copyright, tell us (see Contact Us) and we will investigate and take the clip down promptly if the claim is valid.

04Information We Do Not Collect

This is the section most privacy policies bury. Ours is short, because the honest answer is: almost nothing.

There is no ChromaShed user database. There is nothing to leak, nothing to subpoena, and nothing for us to monetize behind your back. The site works the same way for an anonymous first-time visitor and for someone who downloads fifty clips a week.

05Information Collected Automatically

Like essentially every website on the internet, ChromaShed is served through a content delivery network, and that infrastructure keeps standard, short-lived technical records: which files were requested, at what time, and from which IP address. These records exist to deliver pages, defend against abuse and denial-of-service attacks, and diagnose faults. They are generated by the hosting platform, are not used to identify you personally, and are not combined into profiles of your behavior.

We do not run our own analytics scripts, session recorders, heat-maps or fingerprinting code on this site. When we say the site does not track you, that is a statement about the code we ship, not a loophole about third parties doing it on our behalf.

06Cookies & Local Storage

ChromaShed sets no tracking cookies of its own. The only client-side storage the site uses is your browser's local preferences (for example, remembering a dismissed message or a chosen format filter). This data never leaves your device, is never sent to a server, and is cleared whenever you clear site data in your browser.

Your browser may also set functional cookies on behalf of the hosting platform that keep the site fast and available under load. Third-party services involved in delivering files or ads may set their own cookies when you interact with them — those are described in the next two sections and governed by the policies of those providers.

07Third-Party Services

ChromaShed is a small, deliberately simple site, but it relies on a short list of reputable infrastructure providers. Here is the complete list and exactly what each one does:

Cloudflare (hosting & CDN)

The website itself — its pages, images and code — is delivered through Cloudflare's network, which protects the site from abuse and makes it load quickly worldwide. Cloudflare processes standard request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to serve pages and mitigate attacks. Its privacy policy is available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Google Drive (file delivery)

Video files are stored on and downloaded from Google Drive. When you click a download button, the transfer happens between your browser and Google's servers, under Google's own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We do not receive a copy of your Google account information, and you never need to sign in to download a clip.

Advertising partner

To keep the library free, the site shows a single third-party advertisement as part of the download flow (see the next section). The ad provider may process technical data such as your IP address and browser settings to display and measure the ad, under its own privacy policy.

That is the whole list. We do not embed social-media pixels, we do not load marketing scripts from data brokers, and we do not pass your data to analytics dashboards. If we ever add a provider that changes this picture, we will update this page — and say so plainly at the top.

08Advertising

ChromaShed is free because the download flow is supported by advertising. To be precise about how that works: the only advertisement on this site appears after you click a download button. Clicking a download starts a short two-second countdown, then opens one ad in a new tab. When you come back, the file downloads normally. That is it — one ad, once per clip, and only ever through the download button.

09Children's Privacy

ChromaShed is a general-audience website that is safe to browse, and our content standards (see section 02) exist precisely so that it stays that way. The site is not directed at children under 13, and because we collect no personal information at all, we collect no personal information from children either. There are no chat features, no user-to-user contact, and no opportunity for a child to share personal details through this site. If you are a parent or guardian and have any question about material on the site, write to us and a human will read it.

10Data Security

The strongest way to secure visitor data is not to have any, and that is our approach: there is no central user database, no stored credentials, and no archive of visitor behavior to protect. The site is served exclusively over HTTPS, all traffic runs through a hardened CDN, and file delivery is delegated to Google's infrastructure rather than home-grown servers. We treat the integrity of the library itself — keeping every file clean, unmodified and malware-free — as the site's core security responsibility, and we encourage the use of an up-to-date browser when downloading any file from anywhere on the web.

11Your Rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA/CPRA (California), PIPEDA (Canada) or LGPD (Brazil) give you rights over personal data — the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict processing of it. ChromaShed does not maintain user accounts or personal-data profiles, so in almost every case there is literally nothing of yours to access or delete. If you believe the site holds any information about you and want it removed, contact us and we will handle the request directly and completely. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, though we hope the plain terms of this policy make that unnecessary.

12Data Retention

Because the site collects no personal data, it retains no personal data. The short-lived technical request records generated by the CDN exist only as long as the hosting platform needs them for security and delivery purposes, in line with Cloudflare's published retention practices, and are then discarded. Nothing about your visit is archived by us beyond those automatic, non-identifying records.

13International Transfers

ChromaShed is served from a global edge network, so the technical request data described in section 05 may be processed in the country nearest to you — the United States, the EU, the UK, Japan, or wherever the closest server happens to be. Since this data is not personal information about you and is not used to build profiles, these transfers do not put your privacy at risk. Downloads delivered via Google Drive are likewise subject to Google's global infrastructure, as described in their privacy policy.

14Platform Verification

From time to time we verify ownership of chromashed.pages.dev with third-party platforms — for example video, social or creator platforms that require proof that the person adding a link actually operates the site. Verification is performed using the platform's official “URL prefix” method, and any verification codes or records issued for that purpose are placed only in this website's own source, never in emails or messages. If a platform shows you a verification record that does not match this site's domain, it did not come from us — treat it as suspicious.

ChromaShed is currently verified with TikTok for Developers via the official URL-prefix method: a tiktok-developers-site-verification meta tag in the source of every page, plus a matching verification file hosted at the site root.

15Changes to This Policy

If we change how the site operates in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant — for example, if we ever added a provider that processes visitor data in a new way — we will make the change easy to find rather than quietly editing the small print. The version you are reading now has been in force since the date shown above, and the previous versions remain available on request.

16Contact Us

Questions, privacy inquiries, copyright notices or content reports are welcome and read by a human, usually within a few days:

If your message concerns a specific clip, include the clip's page address or title so we can find it quickly. For copyright concerns, include a description of the work and the page where it appears — we take such reports seriously and act on valid claims promptly.
